- Make sure your tooth mug is dry in the bottom – ideally a vented mug is best but if you do not have one, then make sure the mug is emptied of the “toothbrush liquid” regularly.
- Do not use your bamboo toothbrush for longer than 3 months. Dentists recommend we change our toothbrushes every two to three months, whether they are the traditional plastic ones or your new Eco-friendly bamboo one. The reason for this is that bacteria tends to build up after that time and as the bristles become more frayed, they become less effective at cleaning plaque from our teeth.
- Once you have finished brushing your teeth, rinse your toothbrush with water. We recommend you fill a glass with water rather than letting the tap flow freely, making your tooth brushing routine even more environmentally friendly. Then place in your tooth mug to dry. Do not cover your bamboo toothbrush when wet.
